The Secret of Oil Painting - Learn How to Make Good Pictures Or How to Make Good Paintings Better

,
HOW TO MAKE 3D GRAPHICS :

Technique is not the secret of painting. It's not using tissues, toothbrushes, sponges, palette knives, cotton swabs or razor blades along with your artist paint brushes. Nor is it about "put a little blue here." All of these have a place in our bag of drawing and painting tricks ... but the real secret of picture making is composition.

Underlying all works of art (at all levels from good amateur level to great pictures) is structure.

On the first day in my English Literature class in my art university, the professor played "Bolero," an orchestral work by Maurice Ravel and asked us what it was. The whole class squirmed and could not come up with an answer. Our professor finally said "it's a crescendo." That was the underlying structure. That was the idea. That was the organizing theme. Aside from Ravel having skills in melody and musicality, he was a composer.

Listeners like what they hear in "Bolero." Some listeners have music training and understand on all levels, including understanding the underlying structure. Untrained listeners like what they hear and while they may not know it they like "Bolero" because it is composed. That's why it is performed over and over in symphony halls. That's why a ballet was created to dance to the gradual increase in volume and intensity up to the thunderous climax that ends "Bolero." My English Professor taught me about composition in art using "Bolero" as an example.

Paintings have underlying principles that organize the elements of the picture in order to bring the eye of the viewer into and around the image in an interesting way and to organize the elements into a cohesive whole.

There are nearly infinite ways to structure a picture. Some are obvious, like a mother arching over and protecting a resting or sleeping horizontal child. Another obvious composition is the opposing angles of two fighters in a boxing match.

Some of the principles of composition:

o Beauty is organized variety.
o Variety equals interest.
o A picture needs a dominant element, a sub-dominant element and subordinate elements organized into interesting relationships. This creates order for the viewer so that you, the painter, can entertain the eye of the viewer with a varied and therefore interesting picture order.
o The dominant element can be made dominant by a somewhat central position, by size dominance or interest dominance, and through the complexity of the dominant element or its psychological dominance. For instance, the eye of a viewer is drawn to a human face.
o Those elements need to be varied in size and shape for maximum interest.
o The viewer needs to have a path to those elements that is interesting.
o Thumbnails ... small sketches ... can organize your picture before you get into the details.
o The negative areas (spaces between objects) are as important as the objects.
o The center of the picture is the most powerful ... not the exact center ... but the area around the center is where your dominant element gains strength.
o Tension between two elements adds interest (like the opposition thrust of the fighters mentioned above).
o Division horizontally suggests peacefulness.
o Those divisions should not be equal as that would create a boring picture.
o In a painting of a sky, mountain range and valley let's say you want the sky to dominate. You would make the sky ½ the height of the canvas (3/6ths). But a linear (3-2-1) stacking would be boring. 3-1-2 is more interesting. So sky 3, mountain range 1 and foreground valley 2.

Art courses, classes, videos and TV shows that teach technique but don't address composition miss the key to making good pictures.

To be sure, an understanding of technique, color theory, form, drawing, perspective and proportion need to be studied and developed but they should serve on an underlying structure.

Composition is the secret of painting.

A Marketer's Guide To Writing An Effective Graphic Design Brief

,
HOW TO MAKE 3D GRAPHICS :

The development of marketing materials related to a specific brand is an important part of a marketer's job. How many times have you received a proof that looks totally different from what you were expecting? Working with a graphic designer on a new website, catalogue, logo or promotional flyers can quickly become a very unpleasant task without proper communication and unrealistic expectations. A well-written graphic design brief simplifies the process and helps you get the results you want.

Below is the structure of the graphic design brief that I use when working with my team of designers:

Project goals. This is the starting point of every design project. Be as specific as possible with what you are trying to achieve and narrow you list of goals to the most important one(s). If you have multiple goals rank them by importance.

Company overview. Explain in a brief paragraph what your company is all about, including the history, values, products/services, and distribution. This will help the designer understand your business philosophy and create concepts that reflect it. Target audience. It is important that you provide the designer with a clear definition of your target audience: who they are, where they work, where they live, age group, likes and dislikes, etc. If you target multiple segments make sure to include them all in the order of importance, or select the groups that are relevant to the project.

Brand positioning. This should be one of the most important paragraphs of your design brief. Here you will be answering a simple question: how are you different from your competitors? The uniqueness of your brand image is directly influenced by how good you are at identifying the differentiation elements and explaining how they make your brand unique.

Brand identity guidelines. Consistency is key to building a distinctive brand identity. My suggestion for marketers is to put together a "Brand manual" that includes brand identity guidelines. This reference guide comes very handy when working with marketing agencies and independents since they are able to learn about your brand from a single source.

Project exclusions. Great pictures and a compelling copy usually elevates your marketing piece from mediocrity to greatness. A detailed outline of the development work to be performed, including who is responsible for providing the copy, images, translations, and product information, helps the designer put together an accurate estimate and eliminates false expectations.

Competitor information. Your materials should have a unique look that reflects your distinctive brand positioning. Provide the designer with your competitors' catalogues, brochures and websites. Stay up-to-date on your competitors' moves and work on creating your own distinctive identity.

Examples of (what you consider) relevant work. We all have our favorite brands that we follow and get inspiration from. I keep a list of favorite websites and other marketing materials that reflect design elements that I like such as simplicity, smart creativity, clean look, and use of white space. Look outside your industry for great ideas that you can implement to your marketing piece.

Deadline. Provide a realistic completion date for your project. I usually start by asking the designer for a realistic time estimate for completing the project and work around that date. A very tight deadline might limit creativity.

Should you provide a budget? I prefer to create a list of "must have" and "nice to have" elements and ask for an estimate based on my requirements. The reason I prefer not to include the budget is that some designers tend to say "yes" to every project, no matter what the budget, and allocate creative time based on the amount of money available. I hope the above list simplifies your project management work and help you get things done faster.

Feel free to add to it so we can all learn how to better communicate with our graphic designers.

How to Submit Cartoons for Publication

,
HOW TO MAKE 3D GRAPHICS :

The goal for any cartoonist is to see your work in print. Whether it's in a magazine or newspapers, there's nothing quite like having your efforts validated by a real, by-gosh genuine cartoon editor. My first published cartoon was in a nationally published magazine. It only paid me 25 bucks, but the value of being a published cartoonist was incalculable! Here's a quick primer on how to prepare a single-panel cartoon for submission.

Neat Drawing

Once you have worked out the details in your brainstorming session, you need to transfer your drawing to a clean sheet of 8 ½ x 11 inch sheet of paper. Regular printer paper is fine - as long as it's clean. Don't get cutesy with the size of the paper or the color. Bigger paper is a pain for editors who have to pour through lots of submissions, and submitting your work on brightly-colored fluorescent paper will NOT make it stand out - at least not in a good way. It screams amateur and will get it thrown in the trash.

I will often transfer the drawings straight out of my sketchpad onto printer paper via a light box. I like this process because it preserves the spontaneity and comical whimsy of the sketch which is sometimes lost when a piece is overworked in an attempt to make it "perfect".

Using a Light Box

You can get a light box at your local craft store for next to nothing, or you can go to the internet and look up plans for building your own. Simply tape the cartoon rough in place and then tape your clean sheet of paper over top. Turn on the light and you can clearly see the original through the paper. Transfer the drawing using a black pen. This also eliminates the need for erasing pencil marks which can leave your work messy.

Don't worry about drawing the border around your cartoon. The editor will do that if they need one - often they don't.

The Artist's Market

You can find lots of publications that accept freelance cartoon submissions by looking through a current edition of The Artist and Graphic Designer's Market. This book contains lists of magazines and what they pay, as well as the names of editors and submission details. Study them and then submit accordingly. This is important because different magazines require different things. Some have a minimum number of cartoons that you have to meet; many list things they are looking for as well as things they don't want to see.

Mail 'em Out

Once you have your submission packet ready, it's time to send them in. Most publications ask that you send in copies of your originals. Just make sure that you send them in on decent quality paper - not the thin paper most public libraries use. Each packet will require two manila envelopes: one for the packet itself, and another that you will put your own address and postage on. This is commonly called the SASE (Self Addressed Stamped Envelope) and is a courtesy you offer the editor so he/she can conveniently send back your artwork (along with a check for any they decided to buy!). Don't worry about any kind of cover letter - they know what a submission packet is for, and your cartoons will speak for themselves.

Once you've sent the packet in, it's time to get started on the next set of submissions. Keep doing this week after week and you'll eventually get that first sale!

Ebook Writing - Latest 6 Ways to Excel With Ebook Writing

,
HOW TO MAKE 3D GRAPHICS :

There are so many ways to excel in the field of ebook writing. Some of the best are the following:

1. Choose interesting topics. Your ebooks will surely sell like hotcakes online if you write about topics that are extremely interesting and popular within your chosen niche. Avoid doing the guessing game and do not rely solely on your gut feel when choosing the topics for your ebooks. To easily make a well-informed decision, involve your target market in the process. You can ask them what they would like to know about or you can do a keyword research using Google's keyword suggestion tool. By doing so, you'll be assured that there is demand for your ebooks before you even make them available online.

2. Think of your readers. Always keep these people in mind when writing your ebooks. Constantly remind yourself that your main goal is to impress these people and to give them great value for their money. Make sure that each element you use and every information you include in your ebooks match the need and preferences of your readers.

3. Keep it short. You really don't need to make your ebooks run 100 pages just to make them valuable to the eyes of your target market. As long as you can give your readers all the kind of information they need, it will be okay if your ebooks run only 25-30 pages. As these people have limited attention span and they have very busy lifestyle, they will surely appreciate it if you can make your content brief, concise, and direct to the point.

4. Make it pleasing on the eyes. Aside from having your book covers professionally designed, you can also make your ebooks easy on the eyes by incorporating relevant images, illustrations, graphics, animations, and statistics but use them in moderation. You don't want your downloading time to suffer, right?

5. Make it easy to navigate. Make it a point that you hyperlink all your chapters when you present them on your table of contents so your clients will not need to scroll up and down just to go back to the information that they truly need.

6. Make it informative. Load your ebooks with every piece of information that are being looked for by your target market. These may include information about their hobbies, step-by-step guides that can empower them to do things on their own, solution to their problems, answers to their burning questions, or information on how they can reach their goals in no time.

Beat Your Competition Using These SEO Techniques

,
HOW TO MAKE 3D GRAPHICS :

Make sure to visit Google Webmaster Central and enable "Enhanced image search". This will allow Google to index your graphics and add them to its Google Images search results. Many people look for photos for a variety of uses, and if they also find useful content on your website, they're likely to come back.

SEO Techniques

Search engine optimization is an ongoing process. If you decide to use SEO techniques, it is essential to realize that it is an ongoing process. Search engine algorithms change often, so what is working now may not work next year, or even next month. To effectively utilize SEO , you must commit to it long-term.

When setting up a page using SEO techniques, don't be tricked into thinking additional advertising will boost your search engine ranking. Although advertising on other sites may drive traffic to your site and thereby increase income; it will not boost your rankings.

Submit A Site To Google

No company can guarantee specific site rankings on Google. There are only certain ways to submit a site to Google, and their services do not include guaranteeing certain rankings. If a company tells you this, then they are not a good company to be dealing with in the first place.

SEO

When setting up your site with SEO, pick a few keywords to optimize and focus your efforts on those. Trying to use too many different keywords will result in keyword dilution, where the weight of your keywords is lost in the text. If you must have many different keywords, create multiple pages that can link back to your product pages.

Develop a blog and get involved with other blogs similar to yours! Building a blog is a great way to increase the SEO of your site. Search engines like the unique content that is offered by blogs, and the structure of blogs is very easy for search engines to spider. As well, getting involved with other blogs is a great way to get your name out there and build linking opportunities!

Keyword Tool

Keyword research is easy if you use the right tools. For example, Google Webmaster Tools have a keyword tool which will tell you how many times it's searched in a month and how much it costs to run an ad on it. High searches are good, but aim for niche keywords so you're not in heavy competition.

You should make use of the keyword tool from Google AdWords' to optimize the search engine. The keyword tool will find the most popular keywords that are related to your website. The AdWords tool will show you the number of searches for a word or phrase that you enter. Use this tool to find the best overall words or phrases to use for your site.

Search Engine Optimization

For the highest search engine optimization, have a code ratio that is known as the high signal-to-noise code or also known as the high content-to code. This means that the source code is lower than the written text. In other words, article should contain more text than HTML code.

Use a static URL instead of a dynamic URL to improve your search engine optimization efforts. Dynamic URLs frequently are not indexed by common indexing tools, making it more difficult to gain ranking in search results with a dynamic address. Special characters frequently appear in dynamic addresses as well, which further reduces the likelihood your site will be indexed and ranked.

A company that wants to do business on the web needs to use search engine optimization to increase their visibility and give credibility to their website. With the right information and advice, search engine optimization can be easy. Use the tips you have just read to optimize your website and increase your success.

How to Build an E-Commerce Website?

,
HOW TO MAKE 3D GRAPHICS :

An e-commerce website offers many opportunities. As compared to the traditional business system, an e-commerce website needs minimum cost to launch but it is relatively risky as well. Even though, creating a website is not a simple task and success depends on several factors. The purpose of this post is to guide you through the steps and plans which you will need to organize and install to make your online store perfect.

Search Your Niche: This is a first step that you have to do. Analyze your interest for potential business ideas. If you love automobiles, then you can sell cars and bikes accessories online instead of investing a huge amount of money in a traditional shop. Focus on your areas of expertise and what you can do to gain an edge over competitors who do not have that much extensive knowledge of that niche.

So once you sort out your ideas, conduct a special analysis on your final few ideas to determine the possibilities of your success. Ask yourself several questions, such as how many search queries those products or services have on Google? How much demand those products have in the market? etc... so it would be more economical and safer for you to sell products online.

Competitors Analysis: Carefully look around how much competition you have, take time to read, study and analyze their websites and compare their products and services. This will give an exact idea for the design of your own website. Once you finish all this analysis, build a great professional website which should be more attractive than your competitors.

Create a business plan: You should have a proper business plan which is able to create a winning formula that includes the theme of your website, its objectives and strategies of your business. In addition, it is worth to keeping a proper documentation of your expenses, your sales lead, profits, etc.

Also one thing keep in mind, develop a unique position to increase sales, use each possible way to promote your business, create a different image of business than rest of the crowd.

Build Your Website: Think carefully about your domain name. If you are planing to sell products globally then.com extension is the best option for you, but if you are planning to sell your products in specific region then ccTLD extension (.co.uk, etc...) need to be considered. Try to use domain name which is able to describe your business properly.

Keep in mind that a well designed website always gives a good first impression to your prospects. Try to obtain a model of a professional website at an affordable price and customize it so that it is true to your needs. Most of the shopping cart applications can easily be customized by using conventional HTML editors and simple graphics software such as Adobe Photoshop.

The content of your website should target specific targeted keywords to optimize your website to receive search engine traffic. This can be achieved by the implementation of informative articles, product reviews, features and comparisons. If you don't have time to do all these things then you can hire a professional web development company that is able to take care of all the steps from creating your website and its optimization to make it search engine friendly. However, do not expect that your website will be seen on the first page of Google, Bing, and Yahoo quickly. You should continuously promote your website through different online marketing techniques.

Web Hosting Services: Final step is finding a reliable web hosting company to host your website. To choose an appropriate web hosting plan, pay attention to disk space and bandwidth. Email accounts with your domain name are required to give a preference to work well. The files of your website can be downloaded or uploaded by using a simple FTP program. The technical support team of web host can assist you in steps to upload your website files and make it live.

Outfitter Marketing

,
HOW TO MAKE 3D GRAPHICS :

Some of the terminology used in the field of marketing can seem like just a bunch of jargon to confuse non-marketing professionals and make us sound smarter than we are. In the interest of breaking down the marketing-speak into something more useful, I have put together a list of comparisons between the marketing terminology and some common hunting/fishing terminology. Hope you enjoy the comparisons and find them useful. Future articles posted here will go into more depth (farther afield) to explain how these can be applied to your marketing efforts.

Target Marketing = Field Selection.
Target Marketing is all about increasing your chances of being successful by marketing to a more defined set of potential customers. Like selecting the right location for your tree stand or field blind, being present where your target is give a better chance of taking a trophy, or a customer.

Online Marketing = Long Distance Casting.
The further and more diverse your customer base, the further you have to cast to reach them. There is no more efficient of a marketing tool than the web. Once you have an email address, email marketing becomes the way of frequently passing a lure near them and eventually enticing a bite. Online isn't easy, and all your competitors are likely out there already, so it becomes an essential part of your marketing mix.

Marketing Mix = Tackle Box.
There are many lures, weights, baits, and hooks in your tackle box, and none of them work all the time. Some are specialty items, some are general use items. The right lure at the right time has a greater chance of landing a fish. Knowing which to use and when is a skill usually learned through experience, understanding the behaviours of your quarry, and knowing the situation, plus some luck and chance meetings.

Direct Marketing = Fly Fishing.
Direct Marketing is simply a ratio of results. The more often you put a fly in front of a fish, the more chances you have of getting a bite. The more appealing the offering is the more likely the customer will take you up on your offer. The wrong offer presented in the wrong way will have little chance of success. If it looks fake, it will be ignored in favor of something else that floats by on the current.

Print Advertising = Scouting.
Print advertising puts you out there, searching farther and wider than other methods. You will come across more terrain and more species, hoping to find the location of the right game. Scouting set you up for success at a later time, when you are ready to pull the trigger and knock down the trophy.

Customer Surveys = Fishing Log.
Track your fishing success, noting the weather, location, lures, techniques, water temperature, etc. and you will find patterns and situations that lead to greater success. Looking these common patterns can generate future success. Asking your customers what they liked and disliked gives you tremendous insight into what to repeat and what to change to increase the success rate and customer retention.

Referral / Loyalty Programs = Catch n Release.
Each satisfied customer goes away with a tale of a great adventure, and takes your name with them. With each successful send off, you increase the brood stock for greater returns in the future. Hunting groups will often grow in size over time, from the two guys who booked their first excursion with you this year to the return trip with their buddies and brother in law next year. Treat them well and give them a reason to come back with more on the line next time.

Brochures = Fishing Lures.
A realistic looking lure, with a natural action attracts the most fish. A high quality brochure with a believable proposition to the customer gets the best response. Don't use your home PC to design a brochure for your business, with WordArt as your substitute for graphic design. A cheap imitation will be ignored while a realistic professional piece will bring in the big fish from out of the weeds.

Tradeshows = Flocks of Customers.
Someone one described a tradeshow to me as a room full of customers. Customers come in waves, or flocks, passing by your blind (booth) and your decoys (booth signage) are what bring them in for a closer look. Not every customer at a show will be a customer, but the more time you spend, and more shooters you have, the sooner you will reach your limit.

How to Make Your Own Homemade Mascara

,
HOW TO MAKE 3D GRAPHICS :

If you've got problems with spending too much money on mascara, or having a hard time finding nontoxic ones, making your own homemade mascara recipe could be a solution for you.

Now, this recipe has not been tested by the FDA, but as long as you use ingredients that have been tested by the FDA, you should be perfectly okay. You basically just mix a pigment color (powdered eyeshadow) of your choice, with Aloe Vera gel.

You just use Aloe Vera gel and makeup pigments and mix them together 50/50 in whatever amount of mascara that you want to make. If you want to make an ounce, then you would use 1/2 ounce of gel, and 1/2 ounce of pigment.

The key is to find inexpensive ingredients to make your own mascara. Powdered eyeshadow can be pretty expensive right now, especially because mineral makeup is all the trend right now. But, if you go on any bulk makeup website, or any bulk makeup store that is catered especially to makeup artists and hair stylists, you should be able to find it pretty cheap.

The Aloe Vera gel should be even easier to buy in bulk, because it's really not that popular of a product in terms of trends. You can just find bulk Aloe Vera gel on tons of sites online that do provide it at an inexpensive cost.

If you become a pro at this, and successful enough, you can also add some FDA tested minerals and vitamins that you are certain can be used on the eyes. You definitely don't want to give yourself an eye infection.

And who know, if you get good enough, you could start your own line! You can simply just package your mascara in in empty mascara want and containers that can be purchased at any bulk makeup online store.

How to Make Your Own Magic Eye 3D Stereogram Images

,
HOW TO MAKE 3D GRAPHICS :

Magic Eye 3D Stereograms, indeed a new way of looking at the world. What are them? Well, they are optical illusions, hidden images inside another image.

If you can't see them, its difficult to understand how can be this possible, but its not that difficult. There are other images that when you look at them from close distance they show something and when looked from far away they appear to be something different. Basically a stereogram is a 3D image hidden in a 2D image. Usually the 2D image is nothing more than random dots or some sort of pattern, but when looked in a special way, you will see a 3D shape.

How to make a stereogram of your own? Well, you will need a computer program to assist you in this task. What you need is a pattern and a mask. The mask is the most difficult to make for your own. This is actually a depth mask, and is in black and white, where the whiter a point is the closest it is to you. You can try with the paint program, but its difficult to have good results. Usually a mask is made with a 3D rendering program (like 3D Studio), that can generate depth masks according to the way you view the 3D object (you can rotate it, move it closer or further away, etc).

Another kind of stereogram is made by simply taking 2 photos of the same object from 2 slightly different positions. You can think of the human eyes like 2 photo cameras, the eyes are slightly apart, this gives us the depth feeling. And this depth feeling is what we are trying to achieve.

How to view a magic eye 3d stereogram:

Bring the stereogram image really close to your eyes (until you touch it with your nose). At this distance your eyes cannot focus on the image and they look somewhere behind the image. Now, slowly push the image away from you, while trying to keep the eyes off focus. At some point you will see the hidden image.

Another method is to take an object and put it behind the image (about half of meter behind it). Now, focus on the object behind the image while keeping the eyes looking at the image.

Do you remember how is the feeling when you are drunk? Your eyes don't look at the object around you, but rather through them. Well, this is actually what we are trying to achieve (look through the object, not get drunk, loll). If you can manage to get your eyes off focus, at some point you will be able to see the hidden image.

If you're not train to look at stereograms, this might take you some time. First time I've looked at a stereogram it took me like an hour to finally be able to focus the eyes correctly to see the 3D image.

How To Make Origami Flowers

,
HOW TO MAKE 3D GRAPHICS :

Origami is a Japanese word meaning the art of folding papers into shapes to create decorative objects. Learning how to make origami flowers will give you a sense of pride and accomplishment.

Any local hobby, or art store would carry the specific color or colors of origami paper that you may need to construct your flowers. You can use regular newspaper but it is usually too thick for the folding process, however the specialized origami paper is thin enough and cut to the right size and shape.

When making an origami flower this is exactly what is done and for these origami flowers only a few tools are needed. Aside from origami paper the only tools you need are; a pair of scissors, a pencil, and a ruler.

One of the easiest origami flowers to make is the rose. Four sheets of origami paper are needed, one sheet for the leaves (green) and three sheets for the flower (red). The second red piece is about three quarters the length of the first, and the third is about three quarters the length of the second one. The fourth square (the green one) is the same size as the largest red piece. Origami square base is the pattern that will be used to fold all three of the red pieces. This process is very simple once you learn it.

Take one square and fold it on the diagonals, then on the East-West line and the North-south line.

Make sure that the colored side is facing upwards. Now fold the diagonals as the valley goes (downward), and the East-West and North-South as the mountain goes (upward). Repeat this process on the other 2 red pieces.

Make an imaginary line through the paper, then fold and unfold the right corner of the base to the middle of the imaginary line. Next fold the edge onto the crease mark you made and unfold it. And then you can fold the right edge to the left, and repeat this process on the reverse side. Perform the same steps on the other two pieces of red origami paper. Then, put the rose petal forms inside one another to giving your flower a 3D look. Lastly, shape the green paper to make leaves and put it underneath all the red pedals for a beautiful flower.

Origami flower art is an inexpensive hobby that can be very rewarding. It's not hard to learn, once you get the right directions, and it's very much fun to do. One or two hours spend on learning these processes is approximately all the time it would take. The creation of origami flowers gets faster the more of these lovely flowers you make.

9 Ideas on How to Create Your Own Derivative Work

,
HOW TO MAKE 3D GRAPHICS :

No problem!

If you now have a good understanding of what is Public Domain, it's time to start and learn how your newly researched product can be turned into something that is highly profitable. Perhaps a blockbuster.

What I suggest is that you pick on a subject that you are reasonably familiar with. You don't have to do this but it certainly helps when you come to promote the product, as your passion on the subject will be clearly seen.

So, you have the raw material in front of you - a Public Domain product. You can, of course, merely re-produce what you have. But wait a minute. That's not very original is it?

Create your own product.

What does that mean?

It means that if you are certain (which you now are) that you have in your possession a Public Domain work, then you can "play" around with it to your heart's content.

You possess an original version of a work, you can now create a "derivative" of that original work by adding some of your own personality.

You can cut a bit out here and insert a bit here. You can add your own graphics, you can delete what bits are out of date (as some of them may be) or you can completely re-write it if it doesn't sound right to you. One of the things I usually always do is add my own Foreword. Go ahead, make as many changes as you think fit.

Here are some ideas that you can do with your Public Domain product:

Idea #1. Chop it up and make it into a course, either online (digital) or offline (printed version). A ten part course will outperform a one part manual.

Idea #2. Add a Foreword and change a few paragraphs around and you could publish it as an Ebook. Or alternatively, make it into a physical book with ISBN number and market it through bookstores or Amazon.

By making (substantial) changes you can then add your own copyright
to the new product and even put your own name in there as the author, or that of a pseudonym. Something like: (c) ABC Publishing.

Idea #3. Get a professional voice and turn your product into an audio version. This would work well especially for children's books.

Or you could make a product that is both audio and a printed version.

Idea #4. Turn your research into a video or DVD product. If it's a "how-to" type of product this could sell like hot-cakes.

Idea #5. Turn your product into a newsletter and charge for it. Either as a printed version or use a members-only area of your website.

Idea #6. Make your product into a series of teleclasses. Get someone to interview you, organize a bridge line for 1500 people. You can charge for this or make it free as a forerunner to a bigger and better product.

Record the call and make this into a product.

Idea #7. Make a CD-ROM. Exploit the present day buzz of having a product that uses multi-media. Make something that is inter-active.

Idea #8. Find a series of books by a well-known author (of the day) and re-publish these as a monthly book club. Or pick on a topic and re-publish works from various authors.

Idead #9. What I like to do is find more than one item in that particular field. Then, instead of making a product with just one work, make a "package" using two, three or more items. Maybe not just books or ebooks, but a mixture of the written word with audio and/or video. The more originality, the better.

The sky is the limit.

With Public Domain you have at your disposal thousands and thousands of ideas and products. Take any one, do some serious thinking of how you could present it differently. The best ideas are usually slants on someone else's original idea.

It could be you that makes that next outrageous product.

Public Domain material is there for the taking. Do it before someone else does!

Getting a Clear View of the Perfect Asus Graphics Cards For Our PC

,
HOW TO MAKE 3D GRAPHICS :

If you are looking for the computer to run your favorite games, then the most important components that you have to consider are the asus graphics cards. These are easily the most expensive and most critical part of the machine especially when you are concerned with the performance of your PC when you are running a game on it. It is incumbent upon you to ascertain that you have the appropriate graphics cards that are compatible to asus motherboards.

These graphics cards can come in two types, the PCI Express and the AGP. The AGP cards would need the motherboard that has the compatible AGP slot. The majority of the motherboards that are sold today can accommodate either a PCI or an AGP graphics cards. However, there are some motherboards that do not have slots for AGP.

The other thing that one should consider when deciding on the type of graphic card to use is the speed of the graphics cards. Your card has to have a certain speed in order to run. The current speed range of AGP cards is from 1X to a high of 8X. If you have the later versions of graphics cards, check if it would require an AGP Pro. If this is so make sure that your motherboard supports this requirement of your graphics card. AGP Pro is a feature commonly found in the more powerful types of AGP graphics cards particularly those that run on varying voltages. In which case, it is practical if you have the Universal AGP slots as this can accommodate all types of AGP Pros.

The PCI Express is the more recent version of graphics cards that is expected to be the replacement of the older AGP cards. PCI Express is entirely different from the PCI bus. PCI Express operates on serial data system while PCI bus is defined as a parallel system. In most instances, the PCI Express 16x is used primarily because graphic cards would need a higher bandwidth than any other components of the computer. This only means that this type of graphics cards would deliver 16 times more bandwidth by providing 16 channels for the graphics card to operate on.

Ascertaining the compatibility of the graphics card and your motherboard is not a straightforward procedure as it is difficult to confirm if your motherboard can really accommodate the graphics card that you have bought. In some cases, you will be experiencing glitches in your system while trying out a particular combination of your motherboard and specific types of graphics card. You may also have to install a different driver and patches to work around problems in running a program.

You may check out the troubleshooting instructions from the website of the manufacturer and see how you can resolve problems in your system that involves the compatibility of your motherboard with the graphics card that you have bought. These sites can give you valuable information with regard to major and common compatibility issues which normally delves on the hardware of the computer. You can also check the latest trends and relevant issues pertaining to graphics cards and motherboards at discussion boards and forums.

How Can I Show My Pagerank?

,
HOW TO MAKE 3D GRAPHICS :

Pagerank is Google's standard of indicating the relevance or importance of a specific web page. Complex algorithms composed of as-yet undetermined equations calculate the importance or authority of a website, or more specifically, a page within a website. Briefly, pagerank significantly figures in a web page's search engine results page status. Thus, pagerank lookup is a large part of fortifying any marketing campaigns for a website.

There are various ways to check and show your pagerank, and one of the more popular methods uses pagerank checker script. To show pagerank, you need to integrate a PHP script for that purpose into your website.

Any user, web developer, or administrator can download programs such as the Ajax pagerank checker script onto their computer to show the pagerank they are checking. The page ranking checker takes less than a few minutes to install after downloading. Once you have finished downloading the ZIP file, simply unzip the file contents and transfer them to a sub-directory or root directory on your web server. Aside from pagerank lookup, it also identifies the relevant website's Alexa Rank, as well as the average count of backlinks to the site. The interface also makes it easy to customize the script for any website and purpose.

A program that shows pagerank can display the aforementioned rank from a number of Google datacenters. A page ranking checker script can also show the pagerank of multiple domains. Pagerank checker scripts may also embed live pagerank graphics on most websites, crawl pagerank from outgoing links, and point out fake pageranks. A script that shows pagerank is also able to peruse a website's listed status on DMOZ or Yahoo Directory, display Google and Yahoo backlinks, and exhibit domain age or site thumbnails.

This type of script involves basic requirements, such as host PHP support for script processing, ample knowledge of PHP, and a pagerank checker script website. It is a good way to attract more links and traffic (or maintain volume), and convenient to download, install, configure, and access. It can also include upgrades and support for a certain period, at no cost to the user or site owner.

Pagerank lookup scripts help web developers and administrators implement these programs on your own website. Aside from the ability to show pagerank for your own site and others, there is a lot of information you can glean from such a script to aid in strengthening and streamlining your online campaigns.

Start an Online Store - Your Visitors Will Stick Around If You Do This

,
HOW TO MAKE 3D GRAPHICS :

When you start online store web design, you must apply certain elements to your site to entice visitors to stay and look around. Whether it is your very own website or a page you have created on someone else's website, it is up to you to take the site and turn it in to prime real estate.

Most visitors will give you only a split second glance before clicking off and going somewhere else. Do not make it so easy for them to do that. Keep the following factors in mind when you are ready to start online store design.

- Make your site easy to use by even the most novice Internet users.

- Do not allow any more than three clicks to any of the pages on your store. If you have any more than that, customers will lose interest.

- Do not make your site look like the Las Vegas strip. Tone down the banners and graphics. They will create noise and confusion if not done in moderation.

- Provide helpful information to your visitors. You will appear more knowledgeable and trustworthy.

- Use a black Verdana or Ariel font for easy to read text.

- Provide a contact form on your site in case customers want to contact you. Then make sure to respond to inquiries in a polite and timely manner.

- Promote customer participation with surveys and online polls.

-Put important information at the top of your site. You will quickly lose a visitor's attention if they have to take the time to scroll down to see what your site is about. You have only seconds to make a good impression.

When you put all of the above key elements into place, do not be surprised to see longer visits from your customers on your stat counter. There will be no reason for customers to go elsewhere.

7 Key Pointers of What Not to Do in SEO

,
HOW TO MAKE 3D GRAPHICS :

There's a hell of a lot written about Search Engine Optimization or SEO. Its always presented as complicated and the domain of experts.

We have done some work on SEO as we frankly didn't have the time to work on SEO optimization ourselves.

SEO is about getting search engine ranking - how many times have you seen the words "Dominate Google Ranking" or "Reduce Your Costs and Increase your Profits"! Its BIG business for the SEO companies. They all talk about link building, keywords or phrases, traffic and content, and website design. All good stuff but there must be a simpler way.

So we decided to identify the KEY things you should avoid to see if we could save ourselves the cost of hiring an SEO company. Here's what we found!

1. Avoid Adobe Flash on your web pages. Flash is normally used in gaming sites for animation, video and interactivity. It has its place BUT - heavy flash based websites can have trouble gaining page ranking with search engines, including Google. Basically, it seems the search engine spiders cannot navigate through flash and they can't tell what the flash content is.

2. Avoid using lots of graphics and images. They have the same effect that using a lot of flash will have and can affect your page ranking.

3. Avoid using flash, images or graphics in a website's navigation as the search engine spiders won't be able to navigate through the pages. A solution if you simply must, is to use a Sitemap. Use Google Sitemap Generator or one of the many sitemap generators available.

4. Keep your URL's short and relevant. In fact always have your Keyword included or imbedded in the URL.

5. Keep your web page content to the point and avoid those inane, long winded epistles of irrelevant or useless content on a webpage just for the sake of filling up space on the page. Keeping the reader interested is the key and will increase your search engine quality score.

6. Make sure your website's files are organized and easy to navigate, and always place folders with important information near the top of the file directory.

7. AND - never, never, never stuff keywords in your meta tags, image alt tags, etc or stuff your page footer with lightly-colored or hidden text. That is spam. Make sure you select your target keyword and any closely-related keywords and include only these in your page title, description meta tag, and in your page content.

If you apply the above you will help your ranking and you will save some money. Your comments to these points will be appreciated.

3. Create a tutorial site and earn through advertising. You can also create your own blog or website where you publish the tutorials you write and monetize the site through advertising. You can use contextual advertising links such as Google AdSense, use a banner-advertising network such as BurstMedia, or a combination of various advertising models and networks.

SEO Secrets and Promoting Your Website to Save You 80% of Your Money!

,
HOW TO MAKE 3D GRAPHICS :

Welcome to SEO secrets and do it yourself SEO. This article will talk about the proper ways of optimizing your website for the search engines and save you a lot of money so you can allocate that well earned cash into other stages of your SEO optimization. I will also show you the most basic things to do regarding page structuring, things to avoid (pros and cons). A lot of SEO companies out there are charging thousands of dollars every month for SEO maintenance and I find it very bothering.

I am also writing this article to help other customers out there because my first website was a victim of poor SEO. A customer ones approached me and said "Can you place me up the search in 2 days? I can pay you ,500." I told him that this is not my decision but Google's. As long as we follow the rules of Google it can be done in a certain amount of time... but not 2 days.

STEP 1 - Buying A Domain

Buying your domain is the most important thing in SEO. Do not buy a domain just because you want some cool domain name. If your business name is Ace Computer Graphics and your buying the domain acg.com, you might be attracting the wrong keywords since ACG is also one of the Nike Shoes special edition. And also not just that you will be grabbing the wrong traffic and customers. So make sure to do keyword farming before getting your domain.

When buying a domain you have to make sure that the domain you buy is relevant to your business and the service you do. In this case my keyword for Google is Las Vegas Web Designers. For example:

My Business is: Web Designing in Las Vegas

Domain: acewebdesignlasvegas

URL: las-vegas-web-designers

In this section you need to be versed with basic HTML and use a software to edit the section below such as Adobe Dreamweaver.

You also need to make sure that your keyword is in the source code of your HTML such as:

<TITLE>Las Vegas Web Designers</TITLE> <META NAME="Keywords" CONTENT="las vegas web designers, las vegas web design services, las vegas website articles, las vegas seo, las vegas web design portfolio"> <META NAME="Description" CONTENT="Our Las Vegas Web Designers offers only the best, top quality and affordable websites."> <META NAME="Author" CONTENT="acewebdesignlasvegas@yahoo.com"> <And the Keywords on the content>

Your format score:

Domain relevancy = 100%

URL = 100%

TITLE = 100%

NOTE: Avoid keyword stuffing. And what i mean is avoid placing like 50 keywords on your webpage source code. Google doesn't like this. You will get better results with 4 or 5 keywords.

Now that we got the basic format of your website all SEO friendly we now move on to the next step. We need you to create an Articles Page and a Blog page. Write a good article about your business. Write important things people would want to hear. Things that will help them and how they will benefit from it. Your article can be 5 paragraphs. Link this page as one of your buttons so that your viewers can link back to you homepage. Remember to name your article page /articles.html and follow your Step - 1 setup above regarding source code settings and structure. You can even embed a video on your articles page. You can do the same thing on your blogs page.

STEP 2 - Submitting Your Website to Google, Yahoo and Bing

When submitting your website you can go to the Google add URL website

A lot of people out there also goes to this link without working on step 1. I guarantee you that Google will not index you. Remember, Google wants to index a smart website. A website with proper spelling, format, images that are small in file size. Avoid a full flash page because that is a solid brick wall for Google.

After you submit your website to the above Google Submitter tool it will probably take a week or two to get indexed. While waiting to be indexed we are going to work on other things. You will have to get a Twitter and Facebook Account. In twitter add as many local businesses that has twitter on your area, same with Facebook, and create a Fan page for Facebook. Go to the Facebook Developers Page which will teach you on how to create buttons and shortcut widgets for ex: (Like and Send) button. Link your twitter and Facebook into your mobile phone and send a message a day, at least now you have minimum exposure for your website.

To check if you are indexed, visit the website SEO Centro.

This website will tell you which position and page you are at. If you are already indexed and Google accepted your website into its listings. You will probably end up at a poor position at a very odd number result like page 200. Don't worry about the position. The good thing is that you are now indexed and we can move on to the next step.

STEP 3 - Link Building Process

When we talk of link building we are talking about Exchange links. Getting good position results in Google is basically about link building. You linking to other high ranking websites and other high ranking website linking to you. If you just started your link building and your website still have 0 Rank, it is hard to convince other high ranking sites to links with you. So in this case they might say "You have 0 rank so i wont want to link with you because it will be bad for my website. At this stage do not put on a frown.

This is where you get an SEO specialist to work on your monthly link building. There are a lot of SEO specialist who will claim they do manual submissions, which is the case of most but they will only submit like 10 submissions a day. At this rate of time and the amount of money you are paying them you are basically losing business. However there are a lot of Link Building Software's out there which will do the Link Building portion of the website automatically and they submit to thousands of bookmarks every time. Remember do not do this without reading the rest of the instructions above.

During the Link Building process, lets just say there are now 500 links pointing back to your website. These are the links which will give you a page rank on Google and display you at a higher page results. Those people will also be reading your website, blogs, articles and might be potential customer. They will be clicking on your Facebook and twitter widgets and get directed to you Social Bookmarking as well. The reason why there is a monthly Link Building maintenance is because website come and go, so maybe 1 month from now your 500 links pointing to you might only be 450 links. So 50 link out of the 500 are now bad which you need to get rid or it will slowly pull your website down.

Continue this repetition and check your website for bad links so you can take them out. During these stage, other website owners will be contacting you to request for exchange links. Make sure they are a legit website and check their ranking before you do so.

If you follow these steps, I assure you, your website will be in the first 3 pages of Google and before you know it, you will be in page 1.

STEP 4 - Checking your Alexa Ranks

Take advantage between the relationship of Alexa and Google. The more people visit your website the higher your Alexia ranking will be. High = Closest to 0 which means Facebook should be #1 or #2.

Ones your website hits 3 position in Google at 1st page, this means your website is now almost a web portal. At this point, contact me, your web designer and have me create you Advertisement spot areas for people who would like to pay you monthly for their logo to be placed on your website for advertisement.

NOTE TO ALL BUSINESSES RELYING ON THE INTERNET TO MAKE THEM MONEY:

Your business is the love of your heart. Having a poor website can easily destroy or degrade your business. You invest thousands of dollars on our business yet you only have someone who only knows 20% about Web Designing and SEO Marketing take care of your website. If you create a website for your business and expect it to earn for you, please follow the natural laws of proper SEO. Its not the SEO programmer your worried about but its how Google thinks as well. If your website fails, your business will fail as well and your website will be lost. Also avoid doing exchanging links with just anyone. If that someone has poor web ranking, i don't suggest you link with them.

There are also website customers out there who would pay for a nice looking website made and go through the whole SEO Optimization and end up high on the search. Now realizing they are high up the search, they now cut off their SEO service thinking they will be there forever and not realizing they are severing the whole Link Building Process and Maintenance so all those hard work now goes all to waste. When this happens, your website is now in a Zone called the "Twilight Zone", I just made that up but your website will be in a stage where its hard to pick up from the point it got cut off because its not just a matter of linking again. We now need to wait for Google to react at the same time. So please, if your website is high up the search and getting you good business. Please invest in a proper SEO Maintenance to keep your Rankings High up. As you can see why it needs to be that way. It means if you have a website, it needs to have an SEO as well.
